Title Deko, Title Deko RT, and Title Deko Pro are Liquid's titling
program.
If you wander the forums very much, you will find lots of complaints about
Title Deko. The truth for me is that Title Deko takes a bit of learning - but once
you get in touch with it's quirkiness, you will find it is a very powerful,
and generally a fairly easy
tool to use. Add some 2D effects to a simple title and you can have
some fairly impressive titling going on quickly.
Some of the TD's complaints came from Liquid 5.5 and prior versions - as
Title Deko behaved a bit strange - especially in saving and storing those
mysterious .TDK and .BMP files. Version 6 made
a big difference and if you have not given up and are willing to learn new
tricks - give Title Deko a second chance. Spending a few moments with
the following tutorials might just give you a new lease on Title Deko.

CTRL + E is a tip |
| |
|
Once a title is
complete, use CTRL + E to save the title to a rack and then continue on
making additional titles without closing Title Deko. Create a rack for
titles only. Don't spend a bunch of time renaming titles unless it is
really necessary. |

your title, drag it to the timeline, and be about your merry way. |

F11 + F12 are useful too |
| |
|
If you need to
edit a title, right click on the title, choose open Deko, then when changes
are done - F12 to save - then F11 to shut it down. |

For some reason hitting the F12 key does not save the
current Title Deko screen and give me a blank screen for a new title. |
| |
|
I think you will find that F12
does not work with LE6 for some reason (maybe on just some machines) so if
it doesn't, use Ctrl+E instead |

How do you run Title Deko RT instead of Title Deko Pro ? |
| |
|
In version 6, if TitleDekoPro.exe exists in the
Title Deko folder, it will run when the CG is activated inside Liquid6. To
force Title Deko RT to run instead, rename TitleDekoPro.exe to
TitleDekoPro.exe.old |

How do I open a Hollywood FX effect in Liquid 6 ? |
| |
|
Surprise, they are not in the same place as
5.62. There is now just one HFX icon under Realtime Clip Effects editors and
for transistions, look under realtime transistion effects/specials and you
will find all the HFX effects. |
