Hi 5.62 owners,

I had a known audio distortion problem in 5.62 where when logging video from the analog video/audio inputs on the Pro BOB you would get very high level and distorted audio every 15-30 seconds for about 5-10 seconds at a time.

I posted about this and the only hint of a cure that was given was something on the audio routing. Having just reloaded my machine to XP SP2 and put LE 5.51 on and upgraded it to 5.62, I opened the audio tool and clicked on the Output Routing tab. On the right hand side of this window there is a drop down for how the outputs are routed to the left and right audio outputs. The drop down defaults to Custom and I moved mine to Standard, which greys out your ability to set where the different audio tracks will go. I then logged in about a half hour worth of composite video and had no audio problems at all.

Maybe I should have figured this out before, but at least I have now and wanted to pass this hint along to all the other users that have run into this issue.

Also after my reload I noticed that I didn't have my live real time analog video output and even the payback of video in the output monitor in LE was very slow. I found that the desktop properties were set to span the desktop across both monitors. When I turned off this option without quiting and rebooting the machine the video monitor would blank out but still no real time video out. I had to have the display properties set correctly when the machine boots up for LE to operate correctly. This also may have been known to everyone but me.

Lastly, I ordered the demo 6.0 DVD from Pinnacle. In a thread someone said this was going to take 2-3 months to get. Is this right?

Thanks,

Jeff
