Activities of Daily LivingAlso known as a "Day In The
Life" (Day-In-The-Life) documentary, these videos are developed to
be admitted as evidence in a court of law. Their purpose is to
demonstrate how an accident, event or product malfunction has
negatively impacted the life of the plaintiff. It typically shows
how an injured or disabled person manages daily tasks such as
getting out of bed, bathing and eating.
An "Activities of Daily Living"
documentary permits the viewer to experience the plaintiff's day as
events unfold - from the time the plaintiff wakes until they go to
sleep at night.
Activities of the plaintiff's daily living are digitally videotaped -
then professionally edited for presentation. Particular attention is
paid to a balance of keeping the edit admissible yet not boring the
jury.
In our videos, we honestly and accurately show
how the plaintiff's routine and normal life has been changed by
their disability or injury. Video is
one of the best way to permit the viewer (jurors, opposing consul or
insurance adjustors) to appreciate and measure the devastating
impact the causative event has had on the plaintiff's life.
